Program Presentation Endpoint
When linking from a catalog item, it is sometimes difficult to determine the correct title/imagery matched to that catalog. This primarily happens with EU and US country contexts, where multiple titles and related imagery are mapped to the same program context. During the editorial process, Gracenote maps schedule and streaming catalogs information to a specific program presentation. This level of fidelity can be lost in certain use cases with GVD’s program context.
To address these use cases, you can use the program presentation element. This element provides the specific program information that was mapped by the Gracenote editorial team for a catalog item. The element only contains one title in all cases, and only provides the imagery associated with that title. This element also contains all the program information normally delivered in the program context to ensure a program presentation is a stand-alone element.
For example output, see Program Presentation Example Output
Note: This is an optional element for special use cases. You can continue to use the catalog_item to program_context relationships.
